T. Sanford Jewett, 50, has more than 25 years experience in telecommunications and internet businesses. Before joining WorldCell in 2005, he headed business development and sales operations for Epok Inc., a digital identity rights-management software company selling into telecom carriers and enterprises. Prior to Epok, Sanford was with AOL in several senior positions including Executive Director of the AOL International division, responsible for oversight of the Companys Japan ISP venture and DoCoMo partnership, and earlier as Director of Business Development in AOLs wireless group. Before joining AOL, Sanford was Director of Marketing and Distribution for Iridium LLC, with direct responsibility for development and worldwide marketing of the Iridium satellite pager.  Before joining Iridium, Sanford spent 12 years in management with Skytel, including serving as General Director of SkyTels international operation in Puerto Rico. As the first employee of Skytel, he established the billing, customer service, inventory, shipping and fulfillment functions during the Company's start-up phase from 1985 to 1990. Earlier in his career, Sanford worked in various positions for Millicom, a global cellular operating company. Sanford has a BA in Economics from Yale University.
