Travis Marshall is a 40-year veteran of the telecommunications industry. Since 1991, Mr. Marshall has been a consultant to Motorola, Inc. and served as Deputy to the Chief Executive Officer for International Telecommunications Relations. From 1970-1973 he was Vice President of Marketing Operations, Motorola Communications, and then from 1973-1991, Senior Vice President, Motorola, Inc. and Director of Government Relations. From 1965-1970 Mr. Marshall was Vice President of Marketing for E.F. Johnson Company a manufacturer of two-way radio equipment and electronics. From 1952-1965, Mr. Marshall was General Sales Manager with the Hallicrafters Company, a manufacturer of two-way radios, amateur radio equipment, and short-wave receivers.
Mr. Marshall is Treasurer Emeritus of the Electronic Industries Association from whom he received the Distinguished Service Award in 1987. He has been Chairman of the American Electronic Association Government Relations Committee and is a member of the Board of the United States Telecommunications Training Institute. Mr. Marshall is a member of the Advisory Committee to the Communications and Information Policy Bureau of the U.S. Department of State. He was appointed Chairman of the United States delegation to the 1989 Plenipotentiary Conference of the International Telecommunications Union with the rank of Ambassador of the United States.
He received a B.S. from the University of Notre Dame in 1948, served in the Philippines as an U.S. Army Infantry Lieutenant during World War II, and was recalled for active duty during the Korean War.
